Previously a hotel, we helped the school renovate this Listed Grade II Georgian building that is steeped in history into a boarding house for 30 students. The property has the most incredible original features that deserve to be respected while making the rooms for the 30+ teenagers to dwell in modern in their feel and functionality but somewhere they enjoyed spending time. The public rooms, which were far more traditional, needed to be somewhere inviting and enjoyable to be in all the while retaining the wooden panelled dining room and enhancing the huge Georgian windows.  The traditional feel had to be practical so our biggest challenge was specifying and supplying robust furniture and soft furnishings that while wholly commercial in purpose didn’t feel commercial once installed.
